עברית: עקרב צהוב בנגב, ישראל. זהו הסוג המסוכן בעקרבי ישראל. צבעו צהוב בהיר. צבתותיו דקות. הפרק האחרון של הזנב (למעשה בטן מוארכת), שלפני שלפוחית הארס, כהה מיתר פרקי הזנב. עוקצו נמצא בקצה זנבו השחור. אורך גופו כ-95 מ"מ. במשך היום העקרב הצהוב מתגורר במשכן קבוע מתחת לאבן או סדק, לרוב בגומה קטנה או מנהרה אלכסונית שחפר, ובלילות הוא משוטט בתורו אחר טרף. תנועתו של העקרב הצהוב היא מהירה וכך גם עקיצתו, ולכן רצוי ללכוד אותו באמצעות מלקחיים בלבד. עקיצתו מסוכנת, ועלולה לגרום למוות. במקרה של עקיצה יש להבהיל את הנעקץ בדחיפות לבית החולים על מנת לתת לו נסיוב כנגד הארס העשוי להציל את חייו.
